  • Product Description

The reducer oil level sensor is a key device for monitoring and protection. Its function is very direct and important: real-time monitoring of lubricating oil level, issuing alarm signals or directly stopping the machine when the oil level is abnormal to protect the equipment from damage.
The core function of the oil level sensor is to serve as the lubrication system for the reducer; Oil level monitor; Specifically reflected in the following two aspects:
Low oil level alarm and protection (main function)
Monitoring: When the lubricating oil level drops below the minimum safe level due to leakage, evaporation, or consumption, the sensor will trigger.
Action: Immediately send a signal to the control system (such as PLC), usually triggering an audible and visual alarm to remind the operator to replenish lubricating oil in a timely manner.
Final protection: In more critical or automated equipment, interlocking shutdown can be set up to prevent the reducer from continuing to operate in the event of insufficient lubricating oil, avoiding catastrophic failures such as gear jamming and instantaneous bearing damage caused by insufficient lubrication.
High oil level alarm
Monitoring: When the oil level exceeds the maximum allowable value due to overflow or cooler leakage, the sensor will trigger.
Action: Send an alarm signal indicating that the oil level is too high.
Protection purpose: To prevent the consequences of high oil level, such as:
During operation, the oil temperature increases (reducing the heat dissipation area between lubricating oil and air).
Internal pressure increases, causing leakage at the lubricating oil seal.
Rotating components (such as gears) vigorously stir lubricating oil, causing foaming, resulting in poor lubrication effect and accelerated oxidation of lubricating oil.
